Booking Guidelines & Salon Policies

At Lazzzypaws, we very much care about the health, safety, care, and comfort of your pet are our primary concerns and purpose. We strive to offer a quality professional service for all clients and their pets; we must work together. 

Please read before any service of your pet's appointment today. You agree to the following salon policies, procedures, terms, and conditions by booking and attending your appointment.

New Clients

All new clients are required to complete the New Customer Information Form and provide a recent photo of your dog.
This information allows us to assess your dog’s coat condition and service requirements accurately.

 

Please note that appointment requests will not be accepted until the completed form and photo have been received.

Appointment Requests

Submitting a booking request does not guarantee an appointment. All bookings are scheduled according to our actual availability. Please provide as much detail as possible about your dog in the online form. Once received, we will contact you to confirm a suitable date and time.

Availability & Waiting Period

Due to high demand and our one-on-one service model, there is currently a 2-4 week waiting period for salon appointments.
Services are available weekdays only. Fridays and Saturdays are fully booked until the end of June 2026, unless recurring clients reschedule or cancel their appointments.

Service Duration

Service times listed on our website are provided as a guide only.
Approximate service times are:

  • Full/Style grooming: 3–4 hours

  • Wash or tidy services: 1.5–2.5 hours

Actual service time may vary depending on your dog’s coat condition, behaviour, and specific needs.

One-on-One Grooming Philosophy

At LAZZZYPAWS, we provide exclusive one-on-one grooming. We do not rush our work or overbook dogs. Each dog is given time, space, and care to enjoy a calm, stress-free grooming experience. If you are seeking a fast-paced or high-volume grooming environment, our salon may not be the right fit.

Pick-Up Policy & Daycare Fees

Due to limited salon space, once your pet has completed their service, we will notify you via message.
Pets must be collected within 1 hour of notification.

If you require additional time, please inform us in advance. A daycare fee of $10 per hour will apply and will be added to the grooming cost. Please note: after groom daycare is limited to a maximum of 4 hours per pet, if overtime will be charged in boarding fees.

Extra Handling, Matting & Special Fees

  • Matting- $20 per 15 minutes for de-matting (minimum $20).

  • Special Shampoo- If grooming has not been done for over 12 weeks, a $20 special shampoo fee applies.

  • Extra Handling Fee- If extended time is needed due to behaviour or other issues, an additional charge from $30 may apply; depending on the situation, our groomers will explain.

  • Additional charges apply if fleas are found ($150 salon clean-up fee).

On a case-by-case basis, it may be decided by the groomer that our salon is not the best fit for a particular pet i.e. the pet may require a quieter salon, mobile grooming, etc. If this is the case the pet will be released from our care and discussions for an alternative solution will be undertaken.

Severe Matting & Welfare
(Based Shaving)

Please note that if a pet’s coat is severely matted close to the skin, regardless of the cause, LAZZZYPAWS may recommend shaving for health and welfare reasons rather than for cosmetic outcomes.
In these cases, service time and pricing will be reassessed accordingly.

Pets with severe matting often have irritated or damaged skin. To support comfort and recovery, additional skin-soothing treatments may be recommended to help reduce post-shave irritation and discomfort. Additional treatment fees will apply.

Health, Safety & Vaccines

​Pets must be fully vaccinated, and proof may be requested upon arrival. Medical conditions or special requirements must be disclosed in advance. If a pet becomes aggressive or too stressed, service may be ceased for safety.

Deposit

To confirm your appointment, a $50 deposit per dog is required at the time of booking.

Cease Of Service

Please understand that all humans and animals have bad days. If we find that your pet is not in the best of moods on their appointment day and if your dog/cat becomes aggressive or too stressed, or if there are any health concerns, we may not be able to complete the grooming. A dog/Cat that is uncontrollable will be sent home and charged for the amount of grooming that has been accomplished. It is not fair or acceptable to force your pet to accept the grooming session.

Responsible Pet Ownership

Groomers are not with your pet 24 hours a day. Before each appointment, owners must honestly disclose any relevant health or behavioural information, including recent veterinary treatment, surgery, illness, medication, skin allergies, anxiety, aggression, or known medical conditions.

At LAZZZYPAWS, all grooming decisions are made based on the information provided by the owner. Our professional groomers will assess this information carefully and may provide recommendations on whether grooming is suitable on the day, whether a modified service is required, or if alternative arrangements such as anti-stress handling, allergy-friendly products, or a lower-stress environment are more appropriate.
In some cases, further discussion may be required before proceeding with the service.

Your honesty helps us ensure the safety, comfort, and wellbeing of your pet at all times.

Cancellations, Changes & No-Shows

A minimum of 72 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule. Arriving more than 15 minutes late impacts the entire day’s schedule. Deposits are non-refundable for no-shows or cancellations within 72 hours, and a mandatory charge of 50% of the scheduled service fee applies. Future bookings may be declined.

Bite

Although we take every precaution, accidents can occur during grooming (e.g., nicks or scratches). If in the unfortunate case, a groomer is bitten by a dog/cat, the owner will be liable for the cost to the groom and any medical fees incurred by the groomer as a result of that pet bite. This also includes any loss of income incurred by the groomer.

Photos & Digital Media

We may be required to take photos as grooming evidence and sometimes use the images for our social media profiles. If you do not wish to have pictures of your pet posted online or used in media advertising, please alert us at the time, and we won’t post your pet in any posts or advertising campaigns

Third-Party Booking Enquiries

By making a booking, you consent to LAZZZYPAWS providing limited appointment details (such as date and time only) to nominated third parties, such as family members, for enquiry purposes. If you wish your booking details to remain private, please notify us at the time of booking. Identity verification may be required to protect your privacy.

Be A Kind Person

LAZZZYPAWS maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward abusive, aggressive, or disrespectful behaviour toward staff.
Clients who breach this policy may be required to collect their pet immediately and may be refused future services.

Pricing Changes

Grooming prices are subject to change and may affect future bookings. Clients will be notified of any price adjustments via SMS or email.

Customer Agreement

By submitting a booking request, I confirm that I have read, understood, and agree to all of the above salon policies, terms, conditions, pricing, and procedures as stated on the LAZZZYPAWS website and this document.
